I love movies from pretty much every sub-genre of horror, I like when directors and writers experiment. Shaun of the Dead, Re-Animator, Dead and Breakfast, Bubba Ho-Tep, Army of Darkness, and others really make me love the sub-genre especially because I dig comedy (and mixing it with gore and horror just tickles me even more). With the 1408 thing, if I was really scared I think I would make jokes to try and lighten the mood to take some of the pressure off me mentally. Anyway I love horror comedy and I love true horror films, don't generalize, chillax a bit, and you'll do fine here.
