This was obviously made by a bunch of college kids. I would think that the pool table in the basement with the cheesy decorations would give it away alone.
Also considering that Lynch's latest, Inland Empire, which is shot in B&W, isn't even released yet. I think you can definitely rule out David Lynch.
Besides, when does Lynch ever do fades like that?
