I have to agree. I think you take as many precautions as you can...but sometimes somebody you think is a friend takes advantage of that trust and/or kindness. That doesn't mean everyone you met on the 'net is a freak...in fact, I'd venture to say most of us are "normal" (relatively speaking;) )...we only hear about the weirdos...that's what makes news;) I have plenty of great friends in "real life", but have also met some wonderful people on the internet (most from this site) who are as important to me as those I see every day. I don't think there's anything wrong in carrying on friendships via phone, e-mail, etc...just take precautions, and trust your instincts...if something feels a little off...it probably is =P
