Spring break. It's a time for fun, sun, drinking and lots of sex for most spring breakers eager to get away from College and higher learning, and for a group of young New Yorkers from the big apple on their way to Florida, it's what they were expecting. Throughout the trip the group of northerners encounter a startling discovery when travelling into rural Kentucky - southern hospitality does not apply to everyone.
After warnings from the grimy, impoverished locals, and an old and blind mountain woman, the group continue on their trip, exulting in the beauty of nature and the initial thrill of the appalachia.
When they come to a country rest stop, they notice a tent revival taking place and find themselves exposed to a world of conservative ideas, religious dogma and more importantly a secret order derived of a small religious sect whose blood thirsty leader is charasmatic and his followers are driven by pure evil.
As the trip becomes darker and darker, the group come to a nightmarish grip of reality and what it means to survive outside the safety net of "civilization."
