George A. Romero

Why is it that Italians are so good at horror films?

Okay, I know that this should probably go in another forum, but there's this book about him called "The Gospel of the Living Dead: George Romero's Vision of Hell on Earth" and it's fascinating. It's about his films and how they connect to religious and social issues in America. It's also humerous in the best way: morbid and creepifying.

He's up for an award this Saturday at the World Horror Convention and I really hope he gets it!! He's also nominated for a Foreword award, too.

Here's more info on the book:

You can buy it for about $15 on Amazon or Powell's.
