Hell yeah -- anything by Carpenter. He's a huge influence. My favorite of all of his work, as far as soundtracks go, is definitely CHRISTINE. Also, I really like the soundtracks to THE TERMINATOR, THE DEAD ZONE, Cronenberg's THE FLY, HELLRAISER, and LORD OF ILLUSIONS.
Fantastic writing music. Really sets the mood . . . .
