As far as I understand, and as stated by S. Jason Black in "Pacts With the Devil" the concept of selling your soul is silly. After all, if you're making pacts don't they own your soul already?
I've read several books that hint at the same concept, such as The Lesser Keys of Solomon, Grimourium Verum & Le Grande Grimoire. According to those, demons seem to prefer such things as tobacco, raw meat, fine wine & possession of the body for an agreed period of time as to have sexual relations. If I were a demon, that'd sound like a decent trade to me for disclosure of the whereabouts of hidden treasures and the such.
