Goodfellas
Some call it the greatest mob movie ever. While I think Godfather is better, it's damn close between the two. Even then, it's still one of the greatest movies of all time, and one of Scorsese's best.

The best holocaust movie, Steven Spielberg's best movie, formerly on my top 10 list. This is one of the most emotionally affecting movies I've ever seen. I'd put it up there with the likes of Requiem for a Dream (though not quite as high as that), with a nice grey-area protagonist and an evil 'villain,' and Ben Kingsly giving a hell of a performance as the only really
good one out of the main characters. Excellent movie.
