"Wolf" is first off, not a horror movie. Second of all, it has a pretty positive perspective on lycanthropy. The Wolfman is the story of a person tormented by the condition. It does not advocate letting your freak flag fly and enjoying a life of lupine decadence with Michelle Pfeiffer. Third, this is the remake of a Universal classic. If treated with reverence, it will be great. Remember that Carpenter's the Thing is a remake and that modern psychology, acting techniques and effects have something to contribute sometimes. Remakes sometimes remind people of the eternal quality of the original, or sometimes elaborate and enhance. This is not going to be a The Hitcher kind of remake, but maybe a The Fly kind of remake.
