If we're going for any genre of movie, I'm going to have to add E.T. and Forrest Gump.
E.T. was just kind of boring (saw it in the theater when I was a wee pup, think I fell asleep) Watched it again several times trying to find the charm. Just can't do it.
As far as Forrest Gump goes, this well may be what I consider the absolute most over-rated film of all time. Others I can see peoples points in.
E.T. - I can see how people consider this a magical movie. Just didn't do it for me.
Scream - Like I said before: almost every part was ruined for me. I still didn't really care for it the second time around, but slasher movies aren't a genre I care for much humor in. Nice gore, though.
Jurassic Park - Dinosaurs are cool. I'll be the first to admit the FX are amazing. It was built up for me as an absolutely terrifying movie, and it just wasn't in any way. I really didn't even find it suspensful. I think that's the problem with a lot of people who saw Exorcist after hearing years of hype. Creepy, maybe. Utterly terrifying? Not in my opinion.
Jaws - Same thing as Jurassic Park, but a tad before my time.
Forrest Gump - No redeeming qualities. Not funny. No touching. Not good. Add Tom Hanks to make one great big shit sandwich.
