Yea, Mel got away with alot with Braveheart...and with Passion. Being a big-time hollywood director/actor I am sure helped him getting the R ratings. That being said...Mel has said (about both those films) he would have liked to show even more blood and guts, to better show how war/torture really was in those particular eras. Whew! Glad someone somewhere talked Mel out of showing us what he
really wanted us to see.
