I must admit I hadn't done the maths when I did my first replies, great job on that by the way. This bars out my idea of a widespread organized system then, but I still think some would survive the chaos. I don't see Bush laying down on this (does he ever)? He'd probably pass martial law as well as a special law granting him a longer (if not permanent) mandate, and then the military would seize everything up, and begin to harvest brains from the kind of breeding system I mentioned but on a much smaller scale. Hell, he would perhaps even plan military raids on some poorly armed countries, invoking excuses, with the objectif of bringing back human cattle. (And for the others who have mentioned technological ways of growing brains, you sure know how to take the fun off of a story, so let's say that with this disease, you have now choice but to eat a living brain harvested from a human being!!!)

Of course, if this was limited to North America alone, others countries would probably be waging war very soon against the zombies of North America for many different reasons. Payback for some, or a simple desire to get rid of these "abominations" for others. Of course, with no economy left, the US army would not be able to withstand these attacks for very long. So either way I think we'd all be screwed very fast!

I really hope Kemal decides to post about a north america vs the world war situation. All I know is that we have good position on the map as far as armies trying to invade are concerned.
