I have a box of controllers that haven't been able to stand up to some gaming induced over-exuberance. None were actually killed in rage, more from being flexed past there limits, looking for those extra degrees of movement.
But it still amazes me how strong the Super Nintendo controllers were. How many times they got flung to the ground at the end of a game of Street Fighter II or MK2.
I am planning on building a MAME cabinet - most important thing is heavy reinforcement in the lower front section of the cabinet. Repeated kicking demands it.
