i love this series. It was a fun 80s cash cow that prolly hung around too long for alot of peoples liking, and thats fine with me, I'd rather it that way. Part 8 is one of my faves, at least it comes at it a little differently. Jason X is the only one I havent seen. I think the first one is put way too high on a pedestal and I also think it's nowhere near suspenseful enough to have the killer off-screen for most of the movie (if i want to watch a scary slasher flick ill watch black xmas). Of course you cant bag on the first one too much ,since it does have Bacon and without the first one thered be no other ones. I personally like this series a bit better than Nightmare on Elm St. although the premise of NOES allows for more creative kills, although they sometimes dont make alot of sense. Then again most "modern" horror movies don't.
