To us (and I use that term because I think Rod and I are on the same wavelength on this, but I may stand corrected) there are so many other things much more menacing than an enormous race car that can turn into a helicopter.
I just don't get what the movie is trying to be. It's got horror tone, dramatic settings, and the source is a model truck on steroids.

I didn't think you guys were putting me down or any other fan, I was just trying to explain why I like the Transformers formula and hopefully thereby explaining why others like it as well.
