Spending time alone hasn't ever been a huge problem for me....I went for a couple of YEARS being by myself because it was so nice to be alone in a new place.
I think it's always hard when you're used to something and it changes, like trying to stop smoking. You know it's bad for you, but sometimes it's just so damn GOOD. Rationality isn't always a factor. Of course I know the best thing would probably be to take things slow, but at the same time there's that feeling of "Fuck him, I can do WAY better. Watch me."
Hurt pride is a dangerous thing to deal with, it can make you bitter and cruel to other people just because you can.
