Well I have given this some thought, and I have a plan you can try. In fact I guarantee this will work because everyone loves cats whether they admit it or not.
Just show your boss this picture and say, "My friend has seven cats that are starving and in the cold right now--and if you don't give me a raise, they'll get nothing to eat this winter!"
Here's the photo--this will melt the heart of any crusty old supervisor. ;)
