the impresssion I've gotten in relation to the word in question is this:
Lets say you have a sibling. You're allowed to make fun of said sibling. When someone else comes along and makes fun of them, that's not cool. Seems like the same principle applies with the use of the word.
Anyways, I'm just surprised enough people went to Richards' show for him to offend anybody.
Preemptive edit: That last sentence seems awkwardly worded, so I'll rephrase it: I'm surprised anybody went to Richards' show.
