I like Jaws because I can remember seeing it at the pictures and as for King Kong, when you think it was made back in 1933, the special effects for its time IMO haven't been equalled.

i would never have looked at in that way....your right though...Jaws was pretty scary and for the kind of storyline it had, it made a big splash (pun intended)....
as for you suggestion of asking other people what they like i think thats a good idea...
so what is everyone's idea of a good horror movie?

I believe that the new wave of torture movies like Saw and the likes is a counter-reaction of some sorts to all these bland PG-13 horror movies.

you may be right there....the school based horror movie, or teen based horror movie's have gone down hill a little bit and as for the backlash (which created Saw and the likes) im terrified what to think will be coming next in retaliation of these kinds of movies. Saw was a good movie, i mean it was a breakthrough movie because of the storyline and all out twitch in your seat psychological grossness.
But i refuse to watch Saw II again it went way too far for me. And i better take back what i said about Hostel, as i agian refuse to even watch that movie. lol.
