I worked with a guy who bought into the whole image, down to a stupid little gold chain and always wearing his hat sideways (A professional working tech support for a corporation, no less)... I made a comment one time that he was trying to be black and he got PISSED.
I thought it was interesting that he wanted the look, the lingo, and listened to the music, but didnt want to be associated with them in any other way. he had no black friends, and was actually pretty racist when he spoke about black people. I guess the "culture" is attractive to stupid white peopel. K-fed anyone?
thants not to say that anyone who like rap and buys into all of that is an idiot. I think Dr Dre and eminem prove that there are soime oretty sharp minds out there. there are just a LOT of dull ones....
