Not a good idea for several reasons:

Alot of horror movies that are made now are remakes. Thats a simple fact. Just because you hate them doesn't mean they dont deserve their own acknowledgment.

Why should all the discussion about remakes be contained in this one thread? Maybe someone is interested in reading about a certain remake, and isn't interested in going through various pages of a thread just to find what they are looking for. They'll just go to a different forum to find info.

If you aren't interested in remakes, ignore the remake threads, dont respond in those threads which brings them back to the top of the page, or go and start a forum where remake discussion isn't allowed.
