Whenever my kids come running to me after seeing some shit on a commercial saying "I want that" I ask them "What are commercials"
and they respond "Lies"
So...
you can counter-program them too!
oh - and when I first pulled the "commercials are all lies designed to fool you into thinking you need something that you don't" with my eldest, he replied "You do commercials, dad" (I was acting at the time)
I called my commercial agent and quit that day.
