The dialogue is just his schtick. It's what he uses to draw audiences in and make them laugh.
I love all of his films but thought that Kill Bill was the most insubstantial. Tarantino is someone who is talented enough to make a Great American Movie. I keep hoping he will really do it but he just keeps dicking around. Don't get me wrong - Kill Bill was great, and I'm happy that I can see a kung-fu movie on the big screen with a big cast and a big budget.
It's disappointing.
Hopefully if he keeps dicking around with genre films he'll at least get around to making a horror film. Imagine him doing a faithful remake of Shirley Jackson's 'the Haunting of Hill House.'
