on the site it says that they would like to make as well a Underworld 4 and that will be a sequel to Underworld 2.
So maybe as in Underworld 2 all the elders die and the werewolves elders die. Maybe they want to find someone powerful in Underworld 3 in the past and then put him in Underworld 4?
