i picked up The Rising and City of the dead from Bill Keene as well - at the festival of fear 2005.
nice guy - i wanted to like the books more than i did - but they didnt do anything to make me come back to horror fiction.
got a couple from Jack Ketchum this year and WAS impressed.
this guy is a good writer .. no nonsense and brutal... a much better grasp of dialogue than almost any ofher writer of horror fiction i've read ...
