There are quite a few good modern BM bands out there, but they tend to be the more underground bands that get overshadowed by the lame-ass Dimmu Borgir and that type. I'd suggest trying:
Leviathan
Xasthur
Woods of Ypres
Drudkh
Forest of Fog
Blut Aus Nord
Deathspell Omega
