#1 was the best. The crudeness made it more scary, somehow.
#2 had too much slapstick. I hate one-liners too... but if anyone is going to deliver them, it should be Bruce Campbell.
#3 wasn't claustrophobic and suspenseful like the first two, more action/fantasy than horror.
