Remember - the name is there - in the pop culture concious / subconcious.

even if young people havent seen the origional omen/amityville/etc etc ... the name is already out there .. it is something familiar.
I thionk thats a strong selling feature.. sort of a built in audience.
you're almost there, but not quite...

i'm not against sequels or remakes. i understand that if business dictates a need for another pet cemetery, so be it. and i will pray that there is good plot/casting/directing. it just annoys me that the studio (in this case and in many others) is already going back to the original w/ out trying to progress the series into a 3rd instalment or create an original (shit, we've used this word a lot!) script. no one wants to create anything new these days. i guess that partly has to do w/ the large drop in theatre attendance, but a lot of that is made up in dvd sales. it's frustrating.

we're pretty much on the same page here.
