will smith doesnt ruin movies - the person who casts him and directs him does.
his likeable 'golly gee' persona works well in some movies - not in others.
this is not the tone you want for I am Legend .. it is supposed to be bleak and dark.
He was also miscast in I Robot.
He was perfect for Independance day though.
as far as what he does .. he does exactly what is expected of him ..
