I take your point.

But, what I would say is that a lot of people (if not most) have been bullied in some form during their lives, certainly most people I know or have known, and I would guess that the majority of people on this board have experienced something that they regard as bullying.

My point is this: it takes a particular kind of person to take bullying/name calling and use it as a fuel for murder. People with that kind of instability - if it wasn't one thing it would be another.

I'm not saying that Gibson's words weren't wrong - they were, but they were just words. If someone now kills Gibson as a result of him insulting Jews, then that person would have most probably tipped over the edge because of something else somewhere down the line.

If Gibson had beaten somebody, and then said: "That's because you're a Jew," then that's one thing, but to be drunk and shoot your mouth off, and then be attacked from all sides by a group of people who are infamously vocal anyway (I'm not criticising, that's just the way it is), is not cause to be caught in this maelstrom of hate.
