Frankly I think most everyday people - if given the choice - would opt for the showbiz life instead of their own.
It's hard to believe the daily struggle is preferable to having the best goods and services available in such a different world. Those who can't handle it were probably never meant to become celebrities in the first place.
Skint people will understandably remain stoic and proud of their values over the rich and famous, but when it boils down to it I think we'd all be grateful for a load more money to further numb the senses and artificially excite the brain quite a lot of the time.
