Meth Vegas
So, it seems that methamphetamine has surpassed alcohol as the most abused substance in Nevada, home of Las Vegas, land of the free alcohol.
This lady begged to be arrested and taken to jail. She had already lost custody of her eight children due to substance abuse problems in Oregon, and moved to Nevada to clean up.
After being taken into custody, they found her not only to be HIV-positive, which she wasn't aware of, but to have full blown AIDS with a t-cell count of 23. A normal person has a t-cell count of over a 1,000, and a person with AIDS has a count under 400.
