I like the sequence beneath the coffin of the dead girl, who makes an ugly appearance in the catacomb calling out 'Papa!' with those ghastly eyes and outstretched hands.
Kurt Barlow in Salem's Lot is one of the most memorable head vampires, and is expertly delivered by Tobe Hooper in the film to provide maximum jolts every time he appears - all growling and hissing and terrible rat-teeth. When he is allowed more screen-time in the Petries' kitchen he doesn't seem quite so scary (bit of an odd blue head in my copy), but what about those jail and cellar sequences, and even the violently-smashed-open crate where we don't even need to see this monster to know he means serious business. When Barlow appears, he certainly does not disappoint.
Also, I like Zoltan: Hound of Dracula.
