I've had a lot of public speaking experience, work experience dealing with the public (umpire for certain baseball leagues, you learn to deal with beligerance), so I am pretty good with people over all.
However, girls, especially ones I am interested in, doesn't work out. I've had a girlfriend once in my entire life, and that was in grade 8. I go to parties, try to be cool about it, but whenever the chance comes up to talk to one, I just find it too awkward, and they end up talking to some other guy with more confidence.
It's kind of a bummer, and I am working on correcting it, and I know some of the contributing factors in why it happens, so this summer, with any luck, I'll work things out.
