I'm assuming this is refering to Hutchinson & Chester Taylor. (?)
Hutchinson should be a beast, but can you really blame a new coach for showing up and making a big signing or two after losing their 2 star players over the past 2 years?
Taylor? Meh. He's decent, but by no means was he the top available RB during this off-season.
Randy Moss & Daunte Culpepper were both drafted & groomed by the Vikes. They weren't bought up & they weren't big names when they arrived. (Big potential names, yes, but unproven.)
Other than those 2, the Vikes haven't even had a big name player on their team since Cris Carter. (Another person I wouldn't consider a 'bought big name'. CC had a lot of problems off the field, but the Vikes took a chance on him & he got past his off-the-field drama and became a star.)
I'm just curious as to what big names the Vikes have bought up in the recent past because what you typed makes them seem like they try to be the Yankees or something by buying up all the good players, which is clearly not the case.
