Microwaving bacon is actually one of the best methods.
It's quick, no splatter, and actually just about the most fat free way of having your bacon without quality loss. You can time it for just how you like it too, but yeah...practise.
Or, you could just get a mesh shield for your frypan, and attempt to cook it on a slightly lower temperature. Usually only REALLY spits when the heat is too high.
