I don't think it's a rumor. Why would Zombie himself be writing about it on his blog and telling MTV News if that were the case?
I also don't understand all of the negativity from y'all. We all knew another "Halloween" was coming one way or the other. At least it's coming from someone who sounds like he has a genuine concern for the series and the original producer's son. Personally I can't wait to see this.
