Horror movies for varying interests
I have a dilema. I am inviting a few friends over for a movie marathon, and they all have such different tastes. Some clash, others don't. I want to find a good selection so everyone can enjoy the night. Here are a breakdown of the people I will be inviting.
#1 - A gore junkie. A movie doesn't have to be good at all, just have lots of gore and she will jump around screaming about how godly awesome it was. She loves asian horror too, and has seen a good amount of it. Low budget movies also. She finds good in just about everything. For example, she liked Cradle of Fear and DeadBirds. Some she really liked were House of 1000 Corpses, Audition, ICHI THE KILLER for sure, and she even managed to find a redeeming quality in Stay Alive.
---
#2 - A girl who likes thrillers and smart horrors more then others. Her opinions sway depending on who she's around, so this should be fun. She loves SAW 1 & 2 - and movies such as Red Eye and National Treasure. She likes gore, but is not a gorehound. She likes twists better.
---
#3 - The critic of the bunch. She refuses to even say SAW 1 or SAW 2 had a single redeeming quality to them. She's the type who says "I want my life back" after seeing a bad movie. She's is not afraid to tell you how awful certain movies are. She didn't like The Shining, Fear of the Dark or Nightbreed. She also thought House of 1000 Corpses was trash and just plain porn. She likes foriegn movies, and comedies too. Some she found awesome were Dogma and Kung-fu Hustle.
I'm trying to find a combination of movies that can please all of them, even if they are all not pleased with ONE specific movie, but can find something good about any one of the lineup.
I don't really know WHAT to show. So far my only idea is The Devil's Rejects.
