Myers and Loomis were expected to die and stay dead at the end of
Halloween 2, only to be resurrected to join trends at the end of the 1980s.
A shame (effective though
Halloween 4 is), because Carpenter's experiment with the third instalment was bold and very interesting - this was not just a cheap cash-in riding on the success of the first two films.
