The first two movies were originally cut in the UK, and possibly abroad. Rumours abound that most of these films exist in long lost longer prints.
They are generally high on atmosphere, with the painfully slow moving templars shifting effectively to the grim, groaning soundtrack and some creepy slow-motion.
Some sleazy moments too.
