I still havent got around to seeing the remake, but I would like to.
Skoof - In a way, I think the movie had a better ending. Can you imagine if they tried to recreate the topiaries? God, that would have looked AWFUL with 80's effects. On top of that, I hated the feel-good ending of the book. Up until then it was great, but that was horrible IMO.
