As far as older punk, The Clash and The Sex Pistols.
I do like a lot of newer "punk", a little bit changed, though.
A few newer good punk bands (In my own opinion, so no one needs to bitch):
-Nekromantix (Because Psychobilly is a form of punk)
-Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards
-Rancid
-The Nerve Agents
