Slither

Well I actually went to one of those big things they call a theater today and I was really tempted to go see The Hills Have Eyes but I promised myself I would wait for the uncut version on DVD in June so I purchased a ticket to go see James Gunn's Slither.

Some of you that saw the movie may have caught the little scene they showed from The Toxic Avenger not a suprise being that it was directed by the Troma alumnus.

It started off as what seemed to me to be a southern version of the Blob except with comedy thrills and chills, then it took a wild unsuspecting spin in another genre direction.

If you take a look at my Horror list you can see that I really don't care for horror films with more than the average amount of comedy in them.
Overall I liked the humorous scenes in this movie but I do think it went overboard a few times but thats just me I like a serious plot.

Those who like Horror/Comedies will love this movie.

I thought the acting was done very well.
Nathon Fillion also known for his work in Firefly and Serenity held his own and did a wondeful job.
Elizabeth Banks was amazing the camera really likes her and so do I I was dissapointed that there were not any T + A after all it was indeed a "R" rated film.
Special Effects and Gore outstanding there was a scene that looked like CGI but I wasn't sure.

Final note I liked the movie but it isn't something I personally wouldn't wait for DVD.

Thats just me I am not big on Horror slash Comedy but I admit this one was done very well in that particular genre, so if you do like that I suggest you get off of your behind and go check it out right now!

I would rate it 7 out of 10

You can read The Dude's review here from movies online he gave it a amazing 10 out of 10
