Well...I didn't have any "greasy fingered children" at the time...I set all of the snakes (I had 13 of them) loose in the creek (where I had caught them in the first place) just before Seri was born...I figured that would be the safest thing to do, can't have poisonous snakes in the house with a baby...Turned out I was probably right, because Seri is a total terror, and most likely would have killed them  :D....That's just a joke of course, because when Seri was 14 or 15, she went nuts when she heard that my mother killed a snake on her porch...I'm pretty sure that I already posted THAT story here somewhere...Anyway, she was livid...Said things like "What did that snake do to HER?!"..."Poor, defenseless, little thing"..."I can think of some PEOPLE that deserve it a lot more"

I fed them really well...They ate huge goldfish, shad and minnows, every day...Even though they didn't NEED to eat every day.....I just loved to watch them attack and eat.....They would swim underwater, right underneath the swimming fish...Then pop up out of the water with the fish in their mouth...Then they would, speed across the water (looked like running on water...wish I could describe this part better, it's really cool......okay, imagine about 8 inches of the snake, from the middle of its body to the tip of its tail, laying flat on the water...While the REST ot the snake is standing up out of the water...with the fish (about 3-4 inches long) in its mouth...looks very 'loch ness-ish')...They would get the fish to the rocks, throw it out of the water, then turn it around head first and swallow it...
