*Spoilers*

Well here I sit at my computer, with my foot firmly planted in my mouth. While this wasn't a great film by any means, it completly and totally shattered my expectations. Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams were great toghether on screen, played off each other very nicely and had a great chemistry between them. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Mr. Murphy's character was the highlight of the film. He went from Mr. Gentleman to psycho in 2.5 seconds, which I thought was a nice transition. He didnt waste any time and got right to the point of the film, which I must say caught me off guard. A Hollywood movie that didn't waste time? Amazing! As the film wore on however, I started to remember that this was a Wes Craven movie; it had to go downhill sometime. The scene where Jackson headbutts Lisa, am I the only one that thinks people would notice that? How bout the infamous stabbing, how did she think that would help her situation? Seemed to me that it was just an excuse for Craven to throw in an overlong chase sequence. Last but not least, how about that missle near the end? That was some really bad CGI! Overall however, this was a fairly enjoyable film. Not to be taken seriously, but certainly an above-average diversion.
