Stubborn, it goes like this. (my apologies to haunted) God,being perfect,ie sinless, is offended by sin. Sin is anything that goes agenst the nature of God. Now,as humans, in our fallen nature, we have no way to attone for those sins no matter what you do.In order to bring us back into union with God, there had to be a sacrafice,a perfect sacrafice and no one in this world can qualify as perfect, right? So god sent his son to die in our place and pay the price that we could not pay. There is only one thing one must to to be in union with God, belive that Christ is the son of God.
