Not a movie, but check out Joe R Lansdale's Batman novel Captured by the Engines, in which an Indian imitates his forefathers by turning into a Mustang---only now he's turning into a car, and not a horse. Very good stuff from back before Joe sold out and was still the best cult novelist EVER.
