ok, look at it like this:
You wouldn't go up to some person (or group of people) on the street and start talking about your movie project. They'd look at you like you were some asshole, and rightfully so. But, it's more than reasonable to tell some of your friends/acquaintances about your movie project.
Same thing with this. Don't come up to us and tell us about your movie project, cause chances are we won't give a shit
