Kind of. The emotion I felt wasn't so much sympathy.
I, unlike just about everyone else, hated that stupid cop. I didn't think he was funny, cool, or believable. Therefore, I would rather be on the Firefly family's side, amore connectable (in a sick way), fun, and lovable set of characters.
(Great movie, by the way).
