merry christmas, assholes
lets kill a tree for christ
and max out all our credit cards
on trinkets overpriced.

we'll cook all day and clean all night
some drunken kin will start a fight
the guys pig out cus its delicious
watch football while the wives wash dishes.

and great aunt ethels fruitcake
will make another round
recycled here for 30 years
weve yet to choke it down.

we plunk our brats on strangers laps
distract ourselves with photo snaps
we notice not his wandering paws...
merry christmas, santa claus!

then tuck said brats into their beds
with visions greedy in their heads
howls and screeches oft abound
when mornings haul has let them down.

so you can keep your christmas cheer
and I'll drink mine throughout the year
come spring when youre stuck paying bills
ill be laughing at you still.
